    Child care and off times

    Karen has asked that I post this on her behalf. After new ideas on how you try and disguise your off times from your kids. Mummy to a particular savvy 4 year old.

    It's a difficult one. When my meds are just beginning to wear off I can mask it pretty well but unless I medicate soon after it becomes impossible to hide . My 6 year old is very comfortable with my Parkinson's so he's usually the one saying "mummy you've got your Parkinson's back" which translates to meds time! He's brilliant. My advice would be honesty is the best policy. Children are very in tune with us and the more you try and mask something the more worried they might become and more stress for you which isn't good.
